Exotic Wildlife Association Partners with ADWA
AUSTIN, Texas — The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance™ (ADWA) is pleased to introduce the Exotic Wildlife Association (EWA) as its newest partner in growing the deer and wildlife industries. ADWA is a new non-profit organization which nationally promotes deer and wildlife associations, service providers and equipment manufacturers, and the two organizations will work together to promote the development and expansion of the exotic wildlife industry.
“The Exotic Wildlife Association is the oldest and one of the most successful associations of its kind in North America and we’re very pleased to welcome them as a new member to the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance,” says Annie Jones, director of operators for ADWA. “The efforts of EWA members, who have used range management, wildlife husbandry and hunting as management tools on herds of rare species, have played key roles in helping several species — such as the barasingha (a deer native to India) and the scimitar-horned oryx (an antelope native to North Africa) — become more numerous on EWA member-owned ranches than they are in their entire countries of origin.”
For more than 40 years, the EWA has been a leading advocate and defender of animal-owner rights and for-profit species conservation. Founded in 1967, the EWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rights of exotic wildlife owners. The EWA’s mission is to encourage and expand the conservation of indigenous and non-indigenous hoofstock animals, and to help develop and strengthen the markets for their animals. The EWA represents members throughout the United States and in several foreign countries that have propagated and protected some of the largest populations of privately owned exotic wildlife. ADWA is partnering with companies and organizations within the industry to promote their products, services, membership benefits and overall growth of the industry through education and aggressive public relations. Serving as a ‘PR engine’ for its members, ADWA combines the benefits of marketing and education to inspire credibility among consumers and unity within the industry, and ADWA now broadcasts public policy messages to millions of households via the Outdoor Channel and Versus network.
“ADWA exists to promote members and the industry as a whole more than any single agenda,” adds Jones. “By combining resources, our members more efficiently ensure the promotion and continued growth of the wildlife industry nationwide, which means more customers and more business for everyone, as well as the preservation of hunting and agricultural traditions for future generations.”
