Minn. DNR Study: Lead Bullet Fragments Spread 18 Inches

A bullet fragmentation study conducted on sheep carcasses by the Minnesota DNR in July and released today reports that lead bullets shot by high-powered rifles may break into pieces that travel as far as 18 inches from the wound channel. Doug Smith in the Mpls Star-Tribune.
