Silver Stag Selected as ‘Friends of NRA 2010 Knife of the Year’

BLAINE, Wa. - Silver Stag is proud to announce that its drop point blade design has been named “Friends of NRA 2010 Knife of the Year”. The knife features a handmade, high-carbon random pattern Damascus Steel Drop Point Blade, with an elk shed antler handle and a hand-laced leather sheath. Only 1,125 knives will be produced, and each knife is numbered and the NRA logo is laser engraved on the elk antler handle and the sheath.

The Friends of NRA Committee selects one gun and one knife to be ‘featured items’ and used throughout the year at NRA fund-raising auctions and banquets. Each item is selected from hundreds of samples submitted by dozens of manufacturers.

“These items are carefully selected for their marketability and fund-raising potential. The Gun and Knife of the Year are two items that draw the crowds to our events,” says Justin Cross, Friends of NRA merchandising manager. “This year, the NRA committee selected a knife that is not only beautiful, but extremely functional.”
