TBF Takes Aim On Conservation “Saving Our Fisheries Together”
PONCA CITY, Okla. - The Bass Federation, (TBF) the nation’s oldest and largest organized grassroots fishing organization will be hosting its member state federations and their respective Conservation Directors to Branson, Missouri in March for the TBF National Championship and the TBF National Conservation Workshop.
The dates March 11-15 will not only bring the countries top anglers together for the championship fishing event in Branson, it is also a chance for each of the TBF state federations Conservation Directors to come together for a series of seminars that focus on the conservation issues that impact fishing and boater access across the country.
TBF conservation slogan, developed by the states Conservation Directors is “Saving our Fisheries Together” and it is exactly what these dedicated individuals spend the bulk of their time doing. “TBF State Conservation Directors are some of the most passionate individuals in the entire industry and this event gives them a chance to come together, network, brainstorm and focus on issues that impact fishing and the outdoors across the country.” stated TBF Vice-President Norm White. “We have a lot of work to do and topics to cover, so it’s going to be a very busy but productive opportunity for our conservation program.”
In addition to multiple workshops and seminars the Conservation Directors also perform all of the fish handling and care duties during the championship tournament event.“The Bass Federation has three core principles,” highlighted TBF President Robert Cartlidge. “Fishing, Youth, and Conservation, at this event our conservation directors spend a great deal of time networking and charting the future course for our member states conservation efforts.”
