Austin, Texas - As the Kids Outdoor Zone Youth Outdoor Adventure Ministry prepares to launch nationwide June 5, KOZ Executive Director TJ Greaney announced today the addition of Steve Hall to the Board of Directors.

A graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology, Hall has been with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for 24 years, most of them as Education Director. During that time, he has implemented such programs as mandatory hunter and boater education, aquatic education, fly-fishing education, Becoming An Outdoors-Woman (BOW),
“Hooked on Fishing—Not on Drugs" (HOF) and most recently, the National Archery in Schools program.

Steve initiated the department’s involvement in the Parrie Haynes Youth Ranch and has served as chair of TPWD's outreach and education strategic planning efforts. He is past president of the International Hunter Education Association and served on the national advisory boards for BOW and HOF. He is currently on the board of the National Bowhunter Education Foundation, managing the target range grant program and hunting accident analyses as part of Hunter Education. Steve loves to fly-fish and bow hunt, but mostly he tries to get others, especially young people, involved in the outdoors. (TFF)

“Steve brings to the table all the knowledge and information we needed on the outdoor instruction side of the program. His resources and years of experience will again show the commitment and quality of this new ministry as the new model for outdoor education and youth mentorship,” explained TJ Greaney, founder of KOZ.

What is KOZ? The Kids Outdoor Zone is a youth hunting, fishing and outdoor adventure ministry designed to teach boys Christian based values through cutting edge outdoor programs. We believe the key to this programs success is mentorship.

Our mission is to teach boys how to become true men of God. We believe that men are designed in a specific way and through the experience of outdoor adventure and relationships with Christian men who reflect God’s light, boys can learn many of the life lessons that they may not receive in today’s fractured homes.

Our objective is to train men in churches and other collective organizations on how to role model and disciple the boys that are in their church or neighborhoods.
